Landing pages that convert: 7 keys to sell more with the same traffic

Your traffic is worth what your landing converts. Speed, copy, CTAs and tracking: the 7 keys that separate a pretty page from one that sells.

Every click that reaches your page cost money — in ads, in SEO or in time. The question that defines your return isn’t “how much traffic do I have?” but “how much of that traffic becomes customers?”. Doubling your landing’s conversion costs less than doubling your ad budget — and pays the same.

These are the 7 keys we apply to every landing we build.

1. Speed: the invisible key

Every extra second of load time craters conversion — even more on mobile, where most of your traffic lives. And Google knows it: a slow page pays higher CPCs in Ads and ranks worse organically.

The standard we work to: PageSpeed 95+, loading in under 1 second. It’s not a technical luxury — it’s commercial margin.

2. One message, one page, one action

A landing is not your website. It’s a page with a single goal: getting the visitor to leave their details, book or buy. Every element that doesn’t push toward that action — menus, external links, “learn more about us” — is a conversion leak.

3. The headline does 80% of the work

Visitors decide in 5 seconds whether to keep reading. Your headline must answer three questions at once: what is it? who is it for? what do I get? “Enterprise management software” answers none. “Electronic invoicing in 30 seconds, no accountant needed” answers all three.

4. Specific social proof

“We’re the quality leaders” convinces no one. “127 restaurants in Bogotá manage their orders with us” does. Concrete numbers, real names, measurable results — specificity is what makes a promise credible.

5. The right form

Every extra field lowers conversion. Ask for the minimum needed for the next step: name, contact and maybe one qualifying question. The rest gets covered on the call. And the button never says “Submit” — it says what the user gets: “Get my quote”, “Book a free demo”.

6. Proper tracking, or decisions in the dark

Without correct measurement, optimizing is guessing. Google Analytics 4, Ads conversions, Meta Pixel and custom events must be configured from day one — not “after launch”. Half the accounts we audit measure conversions wrong and optimize on false data.

7. Test, don’t opine

Headline A or B? Short form or qualifier? Nobody knows in advance — including us. You launch with variants, measure, and the data wins. The best-converting landings weren’t born perfect: they iterated until they were.

Bonus: the landing ranks too

A fast, technically sound landing doesn’t just convert paid traffic: with proper semantic structure, meta tags and schema markup, it also captures organic traffic. Double return on the same investment. That’s the approach of our Landing Pages & SEM service: pages designed to convert AND rank, built with tools like Astro that make extreme speed the starting point.
